Makes sense to me after reading the issue in rxjs. I wonder if there is a way to get notified when a commit has reached a production branch? It would be nice way to trigger us to update once the fix is available.

We should stay at TypeScript at 2.3 until ReactiveX/rxjs#2540 makes it into the next release.
