A conformal mapping, also known as a biholomorphic function or angle-preserving map, is a function that is holomorphic (complex-differentiable) and has a nonzero derivative at every point in its domain. A key property of conformal mappings is that they preserve angles locally, meaning that the angles between curves at intersection points are the same before and after the mapping.
