What do you mean ruby 1.8.7 is not working?

This means that the tests are not performed for ruby 1.8.7 or is there anything specific that would make the module fail on redhat clones?

I made a conscious decision to remove support for 1.8.7 in the test coverage. That doesn't mean that the module will not work with 1.8.7, but YMMV.
