With vim-plug add the following lines to your .vimrc:

Plug 'vimpostor/vim-prism'
colorscheme prism

Use the background option to switch between the dark and light theme.

Alternatives

Since many developers unfortunately believe in the falsehood that only dark colorschemes are worth using, there are only very few colorschemes around where the light variant is as polished as the dark variant. Here are some of those colorschemes that I can personally recommend:

• everforest
• papercolor
• retrobox from the default Vim colorschemes
