Our code base is forked from the Avalon Media System. Below are the ways in which we differ from the upstream project.

Version

Our project is forked from Avalon 5.1.5, whereas the upstream project is currently at version 6.1.

Look and Feel

Our project has branding that is specific to the University of Alberta

Validations

We have additional validation on Media Objects:

We validate the presence of language
We validate the presence of genre

Permission changes

We allow editors to unpublish media objects
