Here you'll find information about Webcontrol, its interface and hardware requirements, how to install and use it.

Let's start with the basics. If you are reading this text, it could be assumed you are interested in the remote control of the Vaillant heating systems and you have at least some knowledge on the subject.

If we oversimplify things, there are two choices available:

• manufacturer solution which includes Vaillant internet gateway (VR9XX series) and mobile app to be installed on your phone/tablet. Cloud based solution, easy to setup, providing sufficient functionality to manage your system. Requires minimum knowledge level from the user.

• various ebusd integrations (MQTT, Home Assistant, FHEM, Domoticz to name a few). Those integrations allows experienced users to manage their systems by directly reading and writing various system parameters. Not comfortable for average user, as it requires deep knowledge on how Vaillant systems work, how to configure ebusd and several other technically extensive skills.

Now you can try a new solution - Webcontrol.
Webcontrol is easy to use self-hosted standalone solution built on top of ebusd to replace Vaillant remote control system (Internet gateway + MultiMATIC, SensoAPP, MyVaillant, etc.).

Webcontrol positions itself somewhere in the middle of the above two solutions, as it tries to simplify as much as possible installation and setup procedures, trying to provide to the end user comprehensive friendly interface.
Webcontrol does not require from user any knowledge of ebusd or how to configure devices connected to ebus. It features automatic installation (on the supported hardware) and the whole setup process is as simple as just clicking several checkboxes. It is completely independent solution which could work even without internet connection.
