Scheduling request failed after RRC connected, PDU session establishment

Hello,

I have a multi-host setup using 2 B210 USRPs. Host A runs the Open5GS core and gNB, Host B runs the srsUE. Both hosts are connected to their own B210 via USB3 and the B210s are connected via SMA cables with x1 30dB attenuator on each Tx port, respectively. Internal USRP clocks are used for synchronization of both B210s. I referenced the srsRAN gNB with srsUE tutorial https://docs.srsran.com/projects/project/en/latest/tutorials/source/srsUE/source/index.html. I am using band 3, 15kHz SCS, 106 PRB/20 MHz channel, 23.04MHz sampling rate.

I referenced discussions #298 and #805, where it was recommended to adjust time_adv_nsamples (UE-side) and tx_gain/rx_gain (gNB + UE). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a consistent parameter that resolved this issue. Each time I re-start gNB, UE, 5GC I get different results (RRC fails, RRC connects but no PDU session, PDU session establishment and iPerf initially successful then fails)

Below are the two configuration files I have been using:

Logs from a test-run where I was about to establish RRC connection and a PDU session:

• gNB: tx_gain: 75, rx_gain: 40
• UE: tx_gain: 60, rx_gain: 40

Re-downloaded srsRAN_Project, srsRAN_4G, UHD 4.5.0.0, and Open5GS. Resolved issue after some fine-tuning
