Status Quo

SimpleJdbcOperations, SimpleJdbcTemplate, and SimpleJdbcDaoSupport have been deprecated since Spring Framework 3.1; however, they were not deleted with the pruning performed for Spring Framework 4.0.

Deliverables

Assess the need for the following and completely delete them from the code base if appropriate.

1. SimpleJdbcOperations
2. SimpleJdbcTemplate
3. SimpleJdbcDaoSupport

Preliminary clean-up work has been performed in conjunction with GitHub commit f1517f0:

Delete remaining SimpleJdbcTemplate usage

This commit deletes all remaining usage of the deprecated
SimpleJdbcTemplate class within the framework itself.
