Using "win32" to mean "Windows" is confusing, especially now, that Rust supports win64 builds.
Let's call spade a spade.

Could you also make sure to word the first commit message in accordance with our breaking changes policy?

This has always seemed odd to me as well, but I am ignorant to the historical reasons as to why win32 was chosen (as it seemed like a deliberate choice over windows).

For historical reasons, "Win32" has been used in Rust codebase to mean "Windows OS in general".
This is confusing, especially now, that Rust supports Win64 builds.
