support collapsing rule identifiers even on large screens #1943
Description
We currently always show rule identifiers on wide screens while only showing [*] on small ones.
When reading through the reference, having additional text on the screen can be distracting (and is to me), it would be very pleasant if there was a way to hide this text or maybe even hide it by default and only show it on hover.
I tend to read a line/section, continue at the start of the next line but start too far to left at the start of the rule identifier, realize it's not useful when reading the reference, and skip over it. This is fairly strenuous.
