cargo build -u --verbose results in this error on the following step:

   Compiling graphics v0.0.0 (https://github.com/pistondevelopers/rust-graphics)
Executing `git rev-parse master` failed

Caused by:
  Executing `git rev-parse master` failed

Caused by:
  Could not execute process `git rev-parse master` (status=never executed)

Caused by:
  no such file or directory

Is it possible that git is not installed?

git is installed and working correctly.

The problem is when specifying git sources with a trailing /:

git = "https://github.com/pistondevelopers/piston/"

That doesn't work. This does:

git = "https://github.com/pistondevelopers/piston"

This issue may not actually be cause by trailing /. There is another rev-parse error that occurs when packages don't agree on the capitalization of source URLs, so e.g. when some people use PistonDevelopers and others use pistondevelopers.
