Coordinates won't update until position updates

I have a checkbox that toggles whether or not coordinates are shown, but the coordinates only update after a new position is loaded. Is there any way to force the board to update when the coordinates boolean is toggled?

I am having the same issue, with useState() and then passing that variable into the coordinates.
Works fine for changing FEN dynamically, but the coordinates for some reason it only respects the initial state.
