This PR converts the
applyMiddlewaretest to typescript.In the interest of simplicity, there is one major compromise: the example based on
thunkdoes not pull in all of the massive complexity of that type. Instead, it just does a double typecast to force the value we already know works. If this feels too brittle, it is not trivial, but totally doable to fix this.
