Get rid of as much JavaScript as possible

JS is a major security and privacy risk. Some of the JS modules look like that usage of JS there is pointless.

Every JS dependency we currently have is a hard dependency on some feature of PyPI. I can't say the same is true for the subdependencies of those dependencies, but this is out of our control.
