@jklymak this is untested but I stumbled upon it while working on another fix. I suspect this is the cause of the problem; can you try this branch and see if it works?
(PS: I'm not familiar with MPL's customizations; if you've got a local
layout.htmltemplate that callssuper()you should be fine, but if you've copy-pasted an olderlayout.htmlfrom here you may need to propogate this change into your template)
