[Feature Request] Anti-aliasing for plotted traces #350

What is the feature ?
Anti-aliasing for plotted data traces (for the bitmap back-end)
(Optional) Why this feature is useful and how people would use the feature ?
The plotted traces can look rather jagged at times (using the bitmap back-end). Anti-aliasing would increase the visual appeal of the generated plots.
(Optional) Additional Information
The included screenshot of a trace with rather steep slopes (and line width 2) shows the somewhat ragged appearance currently obtained.
