Make sure that the performance numbers are at very least equally to the ones on version 2

Performance is a key element, specially in large deployments. We don't want the user to disappointed by the bad performance results after an upgrade.

Notice however that the expectancy of performance change a little bit, later throughout was prioritized over latency. In version 3 latency is treated as the most important factor.
