Latest Oracle Database 23ai Free image not working with podman on GitHub Actions

Latest free image fails to start using podman on GitHub Actions with the error:

Password: su: Authentication failure

It works fine with docker.

23.6 image worked with podman too.

This is the test I used:

I updated the workflow to include arm runners:

Non-working combinations are:

• 23.6.0.0-lite, podman, ubuntu-24.04-arm
• latest-lite, podman, ubuntu-latest

So latest container image runs fine on Ubuntu 24.04 and ARM architecture.

Would you consider testing on the new apple "container" runtime too? The images start for me, but lsnrctl shows no active services.

container relies on features and enhancements present in the macOS 26 beta.
There are network limitations when running on macOS 15 which is the latest hosted runner.

@rob975 Ah, yes. It maybe doesn't make so much sense to run until macOS 26 runners are available.

The problem I see with no services appears for me both on macOS 15 and 26 beta, however.
