Question: is this where you want to add something about the Slurm 23.11, and now 24.05, issue? Might note that I exchanged an email last night with SchedMD where they restated their commitment to resolving this with a library for 24.11 - which means OMPI will need to release the corresponding integration sometime late this year or early 2025.

@rhc54 Yes I think we should explain the newer slurm integration issue on this page too.

I'm missing context. Is there a conversation in openpmix somewhere?

This is the SLURM issue we've been talking about for the last week or two. This would probably be a good place to update the docs to mention it.
