Follow-up to #530. 1.7 was the last planned release to support Python 3.8 and I updated the documentation to mention we only support Sphinx >=6. I will add testing for Python 3.13 after the first 3.13 beta release and we should also try to support Sphinx 7.3 before the next release (but that will happen in a follow-up PR).
