Question - Curseforge id necesary?

Hello!, im trying to use the mod and i have a question, does it necessarily need an Curseforge modpack id?. im not using Curseforge, im using my own .minecraf/mods folder as a modpack. so i dont know if i need to create the modpack in Curseforge or what to do, to get the modpack id so i can make the modpack version update on my friends pc's. can someone tell me what to do?

resumed: i want to make a modpack for my friends and update it, but i dont know how to make the modpack update its version without the "curseforge id:" option.
example:
server 1.1.0
client (updated but without "curseforge id") : 1.0.0

so i want to make the "1.0.0" update itself to "1.1.0" once updated the modpack, but without the "curseforge id" option.
or atleast know what to input into "curseforge id:"

Ohhh, its not possible to make that field auto-update, the curseforge/project id field is optional as well.
