Stack overflow on DT after #43560

From dtslint-runner's nightly run, backbone-fetch-cache, cytoscape and mithril stack overflow somewhere in isRelatedTo starting with #43560.

Backbone-fetch-cache has the shortest index.d.ts, although it imports backbone, so the problem might still be easier to diagnose in mithril, the next shortest.
