Rendermap is a prototype desktop app designed to make managing creative audio projects faster and more intuitive than using Windows Explorer.
Instead of digging through endless folders, Rendermap automatically detects DAW renders (e.g., files with "render" in their name) and displays them in a 2D visual map.
This helps producers build a "mental map" of their works-in-progress, making it easier to stay inspired and organized.
- Auto-detect DAW exports from project directories (by keyword)
- Visual 2D viewport with draggable widgets ("galaxy of songs")
- Chronological or alphabetical sorting
- Tagging system & multiple layouts
- Comments and annotations with waveform previews
- Quick search bar for large projects
- Python
- PyQt / PySide
- SQLite
Developed as a year-long R&D prototype project.
Currently private and not open-source.
- Mobile sync for on-the-go project browsing
- Collaboration features (shared notes, plugin/sample tracking)
- Cloud backup and version history
