Issue with query rendered features and some models

I have come across an issue where query rendered features is only returning a feature when the mouse is over certain parts of a model (I don't think this happens for every model but some that I am using)

I am not entirely sure if the issue I am encountering is down the model I am using or a Mapbox issue, but it would be great to get some insight on if it is the model's issue, what needs to be changed so it works correctly.
