[2.2.6] In admin, last swatch option set to default upon save

Preconditions

1. Magento 2.2.6

Steps to reproduce

1. On an existing visual or text swatch, add a new swatch value.
2. Make sure there is no default swatch selected, or if there is, ensure it is not the final option in the list of swatches.
3. Save your changes.
4. Open the attribute again.

Expected result

1. The new swatch option should be added, and the default swatch should not change.

Actual result

1. The last swatch option in the list is set to default.
2. If you select another option as default, save your changes, and open the attribute again, the last swatch is still selected as default.
