CAPI 1.9 introduce the v1beta2 API, as documented here: https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api/blob/main/docs/proposals/20240916-improve-status-in-CAPI-resources.md

CAPA will need to be updated for compatibility.

kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api#12018 allows for using v1beta1 for a short time, but we should endeavor to move as quickly as possible.
