Problems with React Native 0.79

Is anyone having trouble with this package in React Native 0.79?

There seems to be some error with importing __extends from the tslib package, which the autolinker package then uses.

I don't have this problem in 0.78, so I'm trying to work out why this would occur suddenly in 0.79, unless Metro has changed bundling significantly.

This was down to this issue: expo/expo#36551

I'm not seeing any issues on RN 0.81 / Expo 54. Also have a bare RN app on 0.79.4 that's fine. Did you manage to fix it / is there anything actionable here?

Hmm that's odd!

Yep I managed to fix it via the unstable flag in my Metro config (which is what the RN and Expo team suggests).

I'm not on the new arch yet though, perhaps that's something to do with it.

Hm, very weird. Let me know if you discover anything else.

I'll leave this open for now in case anyone else has the same issue and revisit when I have some time to do some upgrades.
