Settings

The spanner icon in MarkWrite gives access to various settings. These affect displays within MarkWrite, shortcut-key mappings, and, importantly, allow users to specify tablet resolution and stroke detection parameters. Users might like to note...

• There is a spatial view setting to invert the y axis. If your pen data appears upside-down then you will find this useful.
• Device resolution and stroke detection settings affect reports, and particularly the Sample Velocity report. If you are using this report then we suggest some informed experimentation with these settings to decide what best suits your data and your purposes.
• Sessions by default reload with settings from the previous session. However you will want to make sure that you use the same settings - particularly stroke and resolution settings - for all data from a particular study. It is also possible that more that one person will be responsible for markup. There is, therefore, an option to save settings files (buttons at the very bottom of the settings menu). Note that by default these are saved to [user]\AppData\Local\MarkWrite\MarkWrite but this can be changes on a file-by-file basis.
