Non-controversial proofreading fixes (mostly spelling/grammar, a couple of instances of clarity). Harmonises "A/an FIP" to "A FIP" -- this matches how most people will read it (as acronym rather than initialism) and practice for BIPs and PEEPs. Recovers some of the uncommitted fixes in #1.
