Germany/Austria/Swizerland require websites to include a link to the legal docs (t's and c's, privacy policy, etc) right on the front page.
If we can design a very unintrusive way of doing this, then I'd be happy for there to be a config option for people hosting riot clients in those countries to enable.
In reality, I don't expect the core team will get to look at this soon - if somebody in the community wanted to look at this, that would be great (I'd be happy to iterate on designs in advance of developing).
