As part of testing early iA experiments #19706 we've seen people feel it's jarring to interact with what looks like an input field that doesn't act like an input field.

From testing some interactions the following, seems the most popular. @t3chguy has advised the below interaction would be a few days work.

Based on the time it might take, and the context of shipping something labeled beta, I think we should try a simpler solution of making the input, not an input, and act as a button (eg hover state like the button to the right of search).
