Description
Steps to reproduce
Description:
When trying to change my profile picture in the Element Android app, the confirmation checkmark (✔️) appears in the top-right corner of the screen, directly underneath the Android system status bar. On some devices, this makes it impossible to tap the checkmark, because the gesture triggers the system bar instead of confirming the action.
Steps to reproduce:
Open the Element Android app
Tap your avatar in the top-left corner
Go to Settings
Tap your account name at the top to open profile settings
Tap your current profile picture to change it
Select a new image from your gallery
Observe the confirmation checkmark in the top-right corner
Try to tap it – instead, the Android status bar is pulled down

Actual behavior: The checkmark is placed under the Android status bar and cannot be tapped. This blocks the user from saving their new profile picture.
Outcome
The checkmark should be fully visible and tappable, not overlapped by the system UI.
