This PR supports indexes with global tables. I have tested this, and it works really nicely (look at the test project which I have included).
One thing: The package.json is referring to a aws dynamodb component branch in my repo. I have pushed a PR to your repo that will replicate this branch. Either leave it be with my branch (it works), or just accept the PR in your repo, and then change package.json to reference your repo.
Thanks for the nice work you have put into this. I am hoping once the core team starts accepting PRs, we can see some movement on this project.
