The project author has not merged commits since 2017. However, there are many forks of this project.

At the time of this writing, the fork with the most changes merged in recently is https://github.com/inkch/vim-fish.

Another fork promising to be maintained is mentioned here https://github.com/dag/vim-fish/issues/49, though inkch/vim-fish is more active.
