I have not preserved the merge of the Standard Name and Conventions Committees - I'm not sure that there is a need for this and think that there might be benefit in keeping these two bodies separate.
The content still has to all be sorted and probably restructured.
Inserted lots of comments to be resolved in this PR
This is referred to in sundry other places so I've been presumptious enough to propose what they are ;)
@DocOtak this will close issues automagically via merge.
