component-related asset loading and storage

Hi! Thank you very much for this seed, just what I was looking for! I am wondering, given the taken approach with CSS-loading and structure, what is your recommendation to place images? I am thinking imagery of all kinds (jpg, svg, etc.) that belong to a certain component, not pure content) and how to load them im code? (also considering dev and production builds..)
