I'm looking at opentelemetry plugin that supports logs and traces in version 2.0 and higher.

current fluentbit cersion 1.9 can only support metrics

Bump! I'm also interested in version 2.x of Fluent Bit. I would like the application containers to only log errors, and in case of any incident, I would like to be able to apply a configuration using the hot reload feature without affecting the application service in order to enable debugging.

record_modifier's Uuid_key is what brought me to this thread, which I believe is a 2.0 feature.

@sosheskaz yea that's 2.0 I think, how do you use the UUID in each log if you care to share?

My logging backend may duplicate logs in some cases, if it does not receive an acknowledgement. Injecting an ID close to the source offers a convenient deduplication key without the need for any extra computing for those edge cases. Also, provides confirmation to consumers that two otherwise-identical events are distinct.

We want to export metrics to AWS Managed Service for Prometheus using the prometheus_remote_write output, which requires the AWS specific settings to be available. This requires FluentBit version 2.1.x or higher.
