the ConfigurationException is not needed with the current JUnit Jupiter testing approach in the master branch. Even the method
extractPluginConfigurationis unused and could be removed completely as well.I kept it to be able to work with a mergeXml approach where the
PluginParameter(s) Annotation always wins over an xml based provided plugin config parameter.
