Run stop/start-all scripts from /sbin directory rather than /bin directory, use -skipRddReload to avoid spending time loading cached RDDs from previous sessions, and use Shark's explicit CACHE query to create cached tables rather than CREATE TABLE src_cached as SELECT * from src.
