Capturing authorized amount

Hi guys,

I'm so sorry, I understand that this is an issue reporting tool but I could find a better way to reach technical support.

I'm creating a transaction with the option IsPreAuth=>true, through the demo admin panel, I can see that the amount has been authorized.

I read in the wiki that with the CreateRecurringTransaction i can commit an authorized transaction. But when i'm doing it I get the following error.

'Preauth e5433e3c-4719-4596-b86d-248730faf69c has expired.'

How can I capture the funds?

Please be aware that all preauth transactions expire at the end of the day they were created on.

thanx for the the info, I didn't aware that.
So a preauth-ed transaction will get expired at the end of a calendar day.
So that raise me the question what If a customer tries to make a transaction at 23:59:00? - The preauth will get expired in just 1 minute?

Anyway, what I was trying to do was to capture a preauth transaction right after the user has returned at the success page via an api call, using the CreateRecurringTransaction.

Is that the right way to achieve that task?
Because via the demo panel I can't find a call-to-action that captures the funds.

Yes, that is correct. After having preauthorized the amount, you can use the transactionId to call the api
/api/Transactions/{transaction_id_here}
in order to capture the amount you wish (captured amount cannot exceed preauthorized amount)
