It seems the nightly build is failing on main because of:

• Upload.upload fails to upload artifacts to a GitHub tag which isn't on the first page of results alexarchambault/mill-native-image#112

Stable release would probably pass, but I'd rather fix the nightly first to be sure.
Looking into a workaround.

Assume the release is underway until the associated issue gets closed.

Okay, so we seem to hit every pesssimistic edge case with this.
We will need a second hotfix release. 🤦

1.5.3 has been successfully released to the following platforms:

• Maven Central/Sonatype
• chocolatey
• winget
• Brew
• Debian
• our very own installation script got updated
• all launchers are available on the GitHub release page: https://github.com/VirtusLab/scala-cli/releases/tag/v1.5.3

We have, however, failed to release the following:

• CentOs/Fedora
• SDKMAN
• (deprecated) experimental scala Brew formula

Additionally, we'll have to do the following manually:

• update standalone launcher to 1.5.3
• update scala-cli-setup

Next steps:

• we will do another hotfix release in the 1.5.x line with 1.5.4 next week
  • need to fix the CentOS upload job, likely locking the Fedora image at fedora:40 (was fedora:latest, which apparently lacks gpg)
  • try to failproof the CI job for cases such as this
