Project problem: Lag!

I don't know what's happening to my project, I added 60 FPS and Turbo mode on, yet it still is laggy like crazy, another thing I find weird is that it worked completely fine when I was coding it, but then it just suddenly stopped working when I went to play it for fun.

I have a sad resolution: Apparently with some debugging, it so appears it's because of collision detection. The only problem is that IDK any other way of detecting collision in scrolling games! :(

Does anyone else know? :/

Try AABB box collision!

You can do it with this simple equation

(box1.minX <= box2.maxX) and (box1.maxX >= box2.minX) and (box1.minY <= box2.maxY) and (box1.maxY >= box2.minY)
