Findings from a newb | RunCam WiFi Link 2 with 3.1 FW, no Ruby #94

Not sure what this is worth, but I'm using a Blu (phone) G51 with a really crumby Micro USB 2.0 OTG adapter and the WiFi that was bundled with the RunCam WiFi Link 2
Works great! Channel 100, power level 45 or 50 on the SD card. The app maxes out at 40...?
720p 120 FPS. The two four letter acronym things are set to 1. 6 mbps.
The first time I ran the App, it was stuck in headset mode. Quitting it, clearing the cache and data and re-launching it brought me into normal monitor mode.
I don't understand the adaptive link settings, whether they override the settings set on the SD card. I seemed to get about the same performance from this cheap android phone as I did from my laptop, using the same USB wifi adapter. The adaptive link settings did not appear to make a difference, but I'm in an enviornment with a lot of nearby wifi, houses obstructing the signal, etc. Too many variables to know for sure.
Latency actually seems to be better on the phone than on the laptop. Telemetry data states mid 20ms and it feels like it. Impressive!
