CACHEDIR.TAG #2728
Description
Should Pkg put a CACHEDIR.TAG file in e.g. .julia/packages, .julia/registries, .julia/clones etc? See https://bford.info/cachedir/. It seems like this proposal hasn't gained that much traction, but it is supported by e.g. GNU tar (see the --exclude-caches flag) and borg (same flag).
