I wanted a vector version, which Canva doesn't provide. Why do things the easy way (an illustration program) when you can do it the hard way (CSS transforms), right? Also, figured that an HTML version will be easier to customize if other Hacker Hours chapters want to adopt it but replace the "NYC". The HTML version:
Not too bad, if I do say so myself! Proportions aren't exactly the same, but close enough I think. @Kristinbarr What do you think?
If we're happy with it, I'll merge and incorporate the design into the site as a subsequent pull request.
