Fix regression from #4008, optimize ObjectNode.findValue(s) and findParent(s)

fixes #4229 .

Reverts only methods that return list that are ... findValues(), findParents(), findValuesAsText().
The three methods should not return early, as before.

Any chance that a new release could be cut with this fix?

@mhgbrg Of course. The challenge is balancing needs for quick release of fixes between significant effort needed which means we really are not in a position to release things on daily or weekly basis: each full release takes 3-4 hours of my non-work ("free") time.

But the intent is to get 2.16.1 out within this month, possibly this week.

So I appreciate everyone's patience, collecting a nice set of fixes and get 2.16.1 out without too lengthy delay.
