AI: choosing "Bypass permission" in Claude Code is not working #39360

When I click the "Bypass permission" option for Claude Code, it is not selected, and the previous options are maintained.
Description
Steps to trigger the problem:
- Create a new Claude Code thread
- Try to choose "Bypass permission" in the mode menu
Expected Behavior: the "Bypass permission" is selected
Actual Behavior: the previous mode keeps selected
