| Max, Thank you for contacting me about being a maintainer. I'm definitely interested in this as I want to expand my experience in Python packaging from where it is now as well as learn about code review and helping contributors through the pull request and submission process in an open source project. I will admit that I don't have as much experience maintaining open source libraries directly, however I've done staff engineering related tasks such as mentoring some of my teammates, introducing ideas like custom docker base containers, Continuous Delivery, TDD, and pre-commit hooks so I believe is the natural next evolution in what I do. I've also worked with Python basic Python packaging for my projects too. With all this in mind I feel this is an important next step forward in my career as well as a way for me to give back to the Pangeo stack that has directly helped me with my work, so anything I can do I'm willing to learn and help the best I can. Thanks for contacting me back |

| Hi Max, I can volunteer to help with maintenance. I've been asking for certain features so I might as well help, right :). I've done library maintenance for some smaller projects in the past and it'd be great to get more experience with this project. I'm already added to xarray-contrib, so I suppose I can just start reviewing things. |

The current list of xbatcher admins include myself, @weiji14, and @jhamman. The developer list includes:

I personally haven't had time to help with reviewing pull requests in a long time and don't expect that to change in the near future. I'm looking for a person who has time to devote to xbatcher and experience with library maintenance to serve as the primary library maintainer. The primary time commitment would be guiding contributors through the review process.
Separately, it would be great to have more developers involved, since there are unresolved bugs and feature requests. But I think for that to be successfully we need a maintainer who has time for code reviews.
