removes redundant configmap mode e2e test (#2622)

removes unused configmap mode e2e test

we now have runconfig integrationn tests that test the same thing as the
e2e tests which makes it redundant. we want to remove because it adds no
additional value and adds 40s more to the e2e ci pipeline run
