Federated JobRepository: remote invocation of whole jobs does not require the job repository to be shared between the client and the server, but if there are a large or diverse number of remote launchers they might not be able to share a repository, at least at the time that the job is executing. But central reporting of all jobs launched and some kind of synchronization to prevent duplicates is also needed.

I don't see how to introduce this feature with the current framework design. There is no plan to work on this in the short/mid term as it was not requested by users. Therefore, there is no point in keeping this issue open for such a long time.

If anyone is interested, I would be open to see a PoC in a fork.
